Details
Peter Fjellstedt (1802–1881) was a Swedish missionary. He was born in Värmland, Sweden in 1802. He trained for Christian ministry at Lund University and was ordained in 1828. Fjellstedt then undertook further missionary training with Basel Mission. In 1832, he was sent to Palayamkottai in Tamil Nadu, India, for his first missionary assignment. After three years, he returned home due to poor health. He went on a further assignment to Turkey and Malta, but left the mission field again in 1840.
