Phillipos Monotropos or Philippus Solitarius ("Phillip the Recluse"; Ancient Greek: Φίλιππος ο Μονότροπος; fl. c. 1080) was a Byzantine monk and writer, notable for his authorship of the Dioptra ("The Mirror"), written towards the end of the eleventh century.
