Pierre Méhaignerie (born 4 May 1939, in Balazé, Ille-et-Vilaine) is a French politician. He is a former deputy of the Ille-et-Vilaine's 5th constituency and presently mayor of Vitré (re-elected in March 2008). He is married to Vassar graduate Julie Harding, of Rochester, New York, United States, and has a son and a daughter.
