Ralph J. Mills, Jr. (December 16, 1931 – August 18, 2007) was an American poet, scholar and professor. A well-respected and admired poet, his voice was uniquely Chicago. His poetry was in the objectivist style, dependent on evocative natural imagery, presented in terse but beautifully layered poems.
