Richard Ferrand (born 1 July 1962) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who has been serving as President of the National Assembly since 2018. He has been the member of the National Assembly for Finistère's 6th constituency since 2012. A longtime member of the Socialist Party, he was the General Secretary LREM from October 2016 and became the leader of the party's group of the National Assembly in June 2017.
