He is credited as the writer who discovered Eminem, by selecting him to be profiled in the magazine's Unsigned Hype column in 1997, years before he signed to Dr. Dre. As the Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records, Morales produced the Original Broadway Cast Recording for the Tony Award-winning musical, Hamilton.
