Robert Cornevin (26 August 1919 – 14 December 1988) was a French colonial administrator, also known for his study of Africa and its history. He was made permanent secretary to the Académie des sciences d'outre-mer in 1971, having been elected to it in 1964. In 1990 that Académie also established the Prix Robert-Cornevin, named after him, awarded to the writer of a work on African history.
