As the wife of film producer Robert Haggiag, Mirella Petteni was a society figure with residences in Venice, Tuscany, New York, and Rome’s Palazzo Mengarini. The Haggiags remained devoted to each other until Robert's death in 2009. Mirella would regularly make the trip to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem to clean up his gravesite.
