Ronald E. Asher (born 23 July 1926) is a British linguist and educator specialised in Dravidian languages. He is a fellow of Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland (1964), a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (1991), and an honorary fellow of the Sahitya Akademi.
