Ruth Shack (née Ruth Naomi Burrows; August 24, 1931 – May 23, 2026) was an American politician who served as the sponsor of the 1977 Human Rights Ordinance in Miami-Dade County, Florida. She served on the Metro-Dade County Commission after being elected in 1976, 1978 and 1982. After leaving the commission, she became the President of the Dade Community Foundation (now The Miami Foundation). She retired in 2009.
