Sam Walls (born 1940) is a former Republican primary candidate for the Texas state legislature for the 58th district, in the 2004 election. Walls, considered a community pillar and highly respected among residents and fellow Republicans, gained national attention when he was revealed wearing a dress, high heels and wig, while accompanying his wife, Kay. The cross-dressing incident prompted adversaries and some supporters to urge him to withdraw from the race.
