Davis met the Burroughs family while filming Willow, where they had minor roles as Nelwyn villagers.
Davis is married to Samantha Burroughs (b.1971) and they have two children, daughter Annabelle (b. 1997) and son Harrison (b.2003). In 1991, Samantha gave birth to a boy named Lloyd who died in infancy. In 1993, they lost their son George in the same way.
