Samuel Taylor Blue (c. 1871–1959) was a Native American chief of the Catawba Tribe from 1928 to 1939 and also in 1956,
although he was looked to as a leading figure in the tribe only some of the time he was chief. Blue has been called the last native speaker of the Catawba language.
