SANDRA BULLOCK has FINALLY found love – with her longtime pal and costar in “The Heat,” actor Michael McDonald!
“Sandy can’t believe that Mr. Right was standing right in front of her all this time!” said a close pal of the Oscarwinning beauty.
The new couple, both 50, was recently photographed looking blissfully happy as they celebrated Mardi Gras in Sandra’s adopted hometown of New Orleans. Not surprisingly, friends are thrilled with her choice!
“Sandy’s been chasing romance with guys who were either too young or too unavailable,” said the pal. “The Blind Side” star’s past dates have included 17 years younger “Avengers” star Chris Evans, reformed playboy George Clooney and new dad Ryan Reynolds.
As The ENQUIRER recently reported, Sandra – mom to 5-year-old son Louis – is looking to adopt again – and friends said she’s delighted at the possibility of Michael sharing parenting duties.
“Michael has encouraged Sandy to move forward with her adoption plans, so they can raise the child together,” a close friend added.
“Sandy’s thrilled about it. She finally has the family unit she always dreamed of.”
While the actress has been close to Michael for years, sparks didn’t fly until they joined up for 2013’s “The Heat.” In fact, it was their costar, Melissa McCarthy, who assured Sandra that Michael was the man for her.
“At first, Sandy blew it off, saying he wasn’t her type,” a pal said. “But Michael has an amazing quality that Sandy can’t resist – the ability to keep her laughing.”
Now the two seem to be settling into a quiet, happy life together, pals said.
“It’s early yet, but no one in Sandy’s tight-knit inner circle would be surprised if she and Michael are engaged by year’s end,” the pal added.
