Sara Lou Harris was married to comedian/radio DJ Buddy Bowser from 1948 to 1959. They had one daughter, Robin, who went on to marry Lochsley Marston, son of Jez Marston (then head of the CIA division in Kingston, Jamaica). Sara Lou obtained an annulment in 1959 on grounds that his divorce from a previous wife was illegal. She went on to marry Sir John Carter, ambassador from Guyana, later in 1959.
