Satish Chandra Goel was born on 21 Dec 1946 in Meerut to Shri Chatarsen Singhal. He was adopted by his paternal aunt Shri R L Goel and Smt Pisto Devi and moved to Muzaffarnagar. He did his initial schooling from Muzaffarnagar. He has a Civil Engineering degree from Muzaffarnagar College. He married Vijay Goel on 5 Dec 1968. He was three children: a son, Mr. Manish Goel (02 Dec 1969), a daughter, Ms. Mridula Goel (21 Jan 1971), and another son, Mr. Piyush Goel (13 May 1975). He Joined UP Jal Nigam as Junior Engineer. He later started his own venture of steel structures in 1982.
