Vice Admiral Satish Namdeo Ghormade AVSM, NM is a Flag officer in the Indian Navy. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations and Training). He previously served as the Controller of Personnel Services at Naval HQ and as the
Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command from 2019 to 2020. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA) near Pune and he attended the Naval Staff Course at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, United States, and the Naval War College in Mumbai. Ghormade was commissioned in 1984. He served as the commanding officer of the guided missile frigate INS Brahmaputra, submarine rescue vessel INS Nireekshak and minesweeper INS Allepey. He was awarded the Nao Sena Medal in 2007 and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2017.
