Scot Kerns is a Republican representative for House District 23 of the Montana State Legislature. He is a Lutheran pastor, having been ordained in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod after attending Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has served as a chaplain in the United States Air Force as well as currently being a chaplain and firefighter with the fire department in Vaughn, Montana. Kerns currently serves as pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Fairfied and Zion Lutheran Church in Power, both in Montana
