Shahir Shahidsales (Persian شهیر شهید ثالث, born March 26, 1952) is an Iranian-Canadian journalist, author, translator and political analyst. He's been a contributor to several English and Persian news outlets, writing primarily about Iran, the Middle East, the US-Iran relations and the US foreign policy in the region. He is regularly published on BBC Persian and the American think tank the Atlantic Council, regarding the issues related to the Iranian foreign and domestic affairs. Shahidsales is also the co-author of a book titled Iran and the United States: An Insider’s View on the Failed Past and the Road to Peace (Co-authored with Seyed Hossein Mousavian, an Iranian policymaker and scholar).
