As fans roared and a host of cast members crowded the carpet at Monday's Insurgent premiere in New York, the movie's romantic leads, Theo James and Shailene Woodley, stuck close together while promising that this second movie in the series is even "bigger and bolder" than Divergent.
Asked for his big reveal if he were to be put under Divergent-style truth serum, James insisted his real-life inner secrets are too naughty to share.
"I was just going to say that anything I say, you won't be able to use," the British actor deadpanned.
The quirky Woodley – who wore a daring, plunging black Ralph Lauren dress but later covered up with a heavy black coat on the chilly March night – said if she were going to confess to anything, it would be a prehistoric fear.

"I've got about zero interest in dinosaurs," she said. "I wouldn't be stoked if they came back to life."
As stars, including Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, ZoĆ« Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer and Daniel Dae Kim, worked the carpet, James – who had to get in near-perfect physical shape for the role – explained that he enjoyed his character Four's emotional evolution in the second movie.
"It was good you get to explore a different side of him that you didn't have the opportunity to in the first one," he said.
As for Woodley, her frequent costar and fellow Insurgent castmate Ansel Elgort raved about working with her.
"I enjoy working with Shailene because I think she's the best young actor around," he said. "She's not really a young actor anymore. She's a real actress and she carries a movie like this on her back. Without Shailene, a movie like this wouldn't be the same."
Added Elgort, "Shailene and I are now very comfortable working with each other and we trust each other and we're open with each other."
