Shane Harper and Samantha Boscarino first met on the set of Disney's TV series 'Good Luck Charlie' in 2009. During the following years, they became close friends, particularly while Harper was in a relationship with Boscarino’s best friend, Bridgit Mendler. Harper and Mendler eventually split in 2015, but Boscarino and Harper remained friends afterward. In 2017, the two worked together on 'God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness', and around that time they appeared to grow closer than before. Later that year, in December, Mendler unfollowed Boscarino on Instagram and deleted several photos she had previously posted with her. Boscarino never unfollowed Mendler in return and did not publicly address the speculation that followed. An unreleased song by Mendler titled 'Loyalties,' which later leaked online, was also believed by some fans to reference the situation. In the lyrics, Mendler sings, "My ex is your frequent call / You're running to him like it's not your fault," which some interpreted as a possible reference to Boscarino dating her ex. Over the years, although they never officially confirmed their relationship on social media, Harper and Boscarino did not appear to hide it either. They occasionally shared subtle photos of each other on Instagram Stories and were seen together on family trips and other private outings. In late 2025, it was confirmed by Harper's reps that the two had quietly tied the knot earlier that year, after months of speculation.
