Shivam Thakur is an Indian pistol shooter. Originally from Bihar, Shivam hails from Kulehsra (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh. Shivam passed his 12th and was previously engaged in cricket and was a part of the Kerala Junior state team. However, because of an injury, Shivam had to leave cricket and he started practicing shooting. Sports minister Kiran Rijiju congratulated Thakur on his win. 'Students Ratna' and 'Khel Gaurav' awards were also announced for Thakur. He is also the founder of School Games and Activity Development Foundation.
