Shunzō Sugimura(杉村春三 1910–1994) wrote his lifework
"leprosy and social welfare" through fieldwork. He worked at Hoshizuka Keiaien Sanatorium, Manchuria Doukouin Sanatorium and Riddell-Wright Memorial Home for the Aged.
