On June 28, 2020, during the George Floyd protests in St. Louis, Missouri, an incident of protesters entering in a private community escalated into a standoff when protesters marched close to the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, both of whom wielded firearms and pointed them at the protesters. A prosecutor said there was no evidence protesters had weapons. No shots were fired, and there were no injuries; livestream video showed yelling on both sides. The incident gained national news coverage and sparked controversy.
