George Stanley Seymour (16 May 1895 – 24 December 1978) was a footballer who played for Newcastle United then became manager, chairman and director of the club. Born in Kelloe, Seymour is one of the club's all-time greats, and was known as 'Mr. Newcastle United' after the various years and roles he delivered for the club. As a player, despite his small physique, he was famous for his runs from the left wing.
