Jennifer Kate Laptook and Representative Steven C. LaTourette, a Republican of Ohio, were married in Washington yesterday. Rabbi Lewis D. Solomon officiated at the Willard Hotel.
Mrs. LaTourette, 33, is a vice president of Van Scoyoc Associates, a lobbying firm in Washington, representing clients on policy and appropriations. She graduated from Wellesley and received a law degree from Georgetown. She is a daughter of Diana and Kenneth Laptook of Fort Lee, N.J. The bride's father is a partner in Wolff & Samson, a law firm in West Orange, N.J.
Mr. LaTourette, 50, represents part of northeast Ohio and serves on the House Financial Services Committee and on the House Government Reform Committee. He graduated from the University of Michigan and received a law degree from Cleveland State University. His previous marriage ended in divorce.
He is a son of Patricia Munn of Lakeside, Ohio, and Eugene LaTourette of Meadville, Pa., and a stepson of Joanne LaTourette. The bridegroom's father is a retired accountant.
