Air Vice Marshal Sultan Mahmud, Bir Uttom (1944 – 14 August 2023) was chief of the Bangladesh Air Force. He was considered as one of the leading persons in forming Bangladesh Air force. He was a deputy chief martial law administrator. He had also served as a minister for the Ministry of Industries. He received the Independence Day Award from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018.
