Susan K. Avery (born 1950) is an U.S. atmospheric physicist and academic. In 2008, she became the first woman to be named president and director of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), a marine science and engineering research organization located in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
