Sylvia Mercado Kierkegaard is a leading international authority in computer law. Her articles are widely published in top international journals and books. Professor Kierkegaard covers a wide range of topics, such as comparative contract law, alternative dispute resolution, intellectual property rights, EU law, privacy, electronic commerce and data protection. Her work is frequently cited in court judgements, and scholarly works. She has authored, edited and published books and over 2000 articles and her articles frequently appear in CLSR. She is also the President of the International Association of IT Lawyers (IAITL), an association of IT lawyers and legal scholars specializing in computer law, privacy and security. The association organises some of the most successful international legal conferences in the world bringing in scholars, policy officials and members of both the industry and academic community to craft new policies and disseminate scholarly researches. She has the distinction of finishing with the highest grade ever in the history of Danish education.
