Tacitus Gaillard (before 1718–November 1786) was an enslaver, plantation owner, and public official in British colonial South Carolina, North America. He became one of the first Anglo-American colonists in the Natchez area of the lower Mississippi River valley. He was involved in a failed attempt to assert that the U.S. state of Georgia had jurisdiction over the Natchez District.
