Tania Fernandes Anderson (born January 4, 1979) is a Cape Verdean-born American politician, non-profit executive, and convicted felon. She has served as a member of the Boston City Council, representing the 7th district, since 2022. A Democrat, she was elected in 2021 to succeed Kim Janey and represented Roxbury, Dorchester and part of the South End. She was the first practicing Muslim and first former illegal immigrant elected to the Council.
