Amal Ismail Jarkas (Arabic: نهاد وديع حداد; born June 1, 1937, known as Taroub (Arabic: طروب), also spelled T'aroub, Tarub or Tarup is a Jordanian singer of Circassian descent. She holds Jordanian nationality, and was famous in the 1960s and 1970s as a film actress and singer. She was married for a while with the Lebanese singer Muhammad Jamal and formed an artistic duo with him. She wore the veil and retired from artistic career in 1994 for religious reason.
