Tengku Mahmood Mahyideen (Jawi: تڠكو محمود مهيدين 28 October 1908–12 February 1954), also known by his nickname Harimau Malaya (Malayan Tiger), was a Siamese-born Malayan–Pattani prince, freedom fighter, businessman, radio announcer, and spymaster in the service of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE). Widely recognised as an "icon of the independence movement", he was regarded by some as a pretender to the throne of the historical Patani Kingdom., Tengku Mahmood Mahyideen (Jawi: تڠكو محمود مهيدين 28 October 1908–12 February 1954), also known by his nickname Harimau Malaya (Malayan Tiger), was a Siamese-born Malayan–Pattani prince, freedom fighter, businessman, radio announcer, and spymaster in the service of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE).
