Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI’s relationship has been making headlines since early 2024. The Canadian pop star and the Australian artist have captivated fans with their budding romance thanks to sneaky selfies and hand-in-hand date nights, but it wasn't until April 2024 that LAROI seemingly confirmed their relationship status. After months of speculation, LAROI revealed to fans at his April 14 show in Dublin that “his girlfriend” was in the audience, where McRae was watching from the side stage. When asked about the possibility of releasing a song with LAROI on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards just two weeks prior, McRae laughed and covered her face. “Maybe,” she told Billboard. “He’s amazing.” The new relationship, which the couple made Instagram official in July 2024, comes almost a year after McRae’s split from hockey player Cole Sillinger, which prompted the pop star to delete all photos of the athlete from her social media accounts. As for LAROI, he dated TikTok star Katarina Deme from 2020 until the two split in 2023.
