Thor David Hesla (April 1, 1962 - January 14, 2008) was the only American killed in the 2008 Kabul Serena Hotel attack in Kabul Afghanistan. Hesla's name first appeared in an article by Atlanta Journal Constitution writer Rhonda Cook, though "an American" had been cited as a victim for nearly 24 hours.
