He met Megan McCrea during the 2002-2003 Smucker's Stars on Ice tour and they became engaged in May 2004. She was a trainer of Orca whales at SeaWorld. They married in St. Petersburg, Florida, and figure skaters John Zimmerman and Todd Sand were groomsmen. They have since divorced.
Eldredge married Megan McCrea on September 3, 2005, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Their divorce was finalized in March 2009. In a March 1, 2009 interview with the Hartford Courant, he described himself as divorced.
