Tong Yang (Chinese: 杨彤) is a Chinese mathematician known for his contributions to the field of partial differential equations and kinetic theory. He has been serving as a Chair Professor of Mathematical Science in the Department of Applied Mathematics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) since 2020. Previously, he held the position of President of The Hong Kong Mathematical Society from 2016 to 2020 in 2016-2020.
