Ustad Hamahang (Persian:????? ?? ????) is a popular Afghan singer, born in the Kharabat district of Kabul, Afghanistan. He is the son-in-law of the famous Ghulam Dastagir Shaida, also known as Ustad Ghulam Dastagir Qarâbaghi, who was from the Qarabagh district of Kabul. He mostly sings Persian folk tales of Central Asia, and improvises on the scenes and creates couplets from the audiences' reactions, at times very amusingly. Hamahang, was a very popular wedding singer in the 60s and 70s.
