Vakkaleri Narayana Rao (born 21 December 1921) was an Indian defence scientist and one of the pioneers of Electronic Warfare in India. He was a former director of the Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1982.
