Valeriu Turea (6 October 1951 – 9 December 2020) was a Moldovan diplomat. He graduated from the State University of Chisinau in 1974, Faculty of Philology, journalistic specialization. He has worked as a journalist for several periodicals. Since 1991 he has been employed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a diplomat from the Republic of Moldova. He was the Moldovan Ambassador to Portugal between the period of 2010 to 2015. From 2015–2016 he served as the general director of the Office for Relations with the Diaspora. During 2016–2019 he was Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest..
