William Anthony (November 9, 1926 – February 8, 1989) was an Irish bookbinder and book conservator who spent the latter part of his career in the United States. He specialized in fine leather bindings with inlays and gold tooling and is known for his bold designs, fine craftsmanship, and mentorship of numerous bookbinders and conservators who studied with him.
