Willie James Culpepper (born March 27, 1967) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Southwestern Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, setting school records in career receiving yards and single-game receiving yards. After two seasons away from football, he signed with the New Orleans Night of the Arena Football League (AFL) in 1991 after an open tryout. After finishing second in the AFL in receptions, Culpepper signed with the Buccaneers. He played in three games for Tampa Bay as a reserve receiver but did not catch a pass. He later played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and for several other AFL teams. Culpepper was noted for his skinny frame at 155 pounds and for his speed.
