Giwar Hajabi (Kurdish: ژیوار حاجبی, Jîwar Hacibî, 24 December 1981 – 7 May 2025), better known by his stage name Xatar, was a German rapper and also a composer and producer of rap music. Xatar built his own beats (using a piano and a computer), alongside his beat producer named Maestro, while Xatar himself financially produced his music and also that of other German rappers. He was the founder and owner of the labels Alles oder Nix Records, Kopfticker Records, Groove Attack TraX and Goldmann Entertainment. His father was a composer and conductor of classical music. Young Xatar and his parents fled the Iranian Revolution for being Kurdish and too Western.
