Yagub Mikayil oghlu Mahmudov (Azerbaijani: Yaqub Mikayıl oğlu Mahmudov; born February 10, 1939), also known as Yagub Mahmudlu, is an Azerbaijani historian, professor, full member (academician) and advisor of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, honored scientist of Azerbaijan and Dagestan, Laureate of State Prize of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and head of the Department of History of the Ancient World and Middle Ages at the Faculty of History of the Baku State University.
