Yekuno Amlak (Ge’ez: ይኩኖ አምላክ); throne name Tasfa Iyasus (ተስፋ ኢየሱስ täsfa iyyäsus; r. 10 August 1270 – 19 June 1285) was the Emperor of Ethiopia, and the founder of the Solomonic dynasty, which lasted until 1974. He was a prince from Bete Amhara province (in today's Wollo region) who became king of kings of Ethiopia following the defeat of the last Zagwe king.
