Donald Jay Rickles (May 8, 1926 – April 6, 2017) was an American actor, author, and stand-up comedian. He was known especially for his insult comedy. His film roles included Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) with Clark Gable, Carl Reiner's Enter Laughing (1967), Clint Eastwood's Kelly's Heroes (1970), and Martin Scorsese's Casino (1995) with Robert De Niro; beginning in 1976, he enjoyed a two-year run starring in the NBC television sitcom C.P.O. Sharkey and had his own sitcom called The Don Rickles Show (1972).

I LOVE Rickles!! I saw him on Gilligan`s Island when I was a kid and was hooked. He`s the King of mean with the softest heart! Long Live Rickles!!!

Ah! Don Rickles. What more can be said about him that wasn`t said behind his back? Yes, I remember him on the Dean Martin comedy roasts. And it truly looked as if Don was roasting. He needed a sponge not a hanky! Seriously, he sweats! I wonder how much material Milton Berle got from him. I would love to bring him to an OPEC meeting.
