His award-winning films include The Flor Contemplacion Story, Sidhi, Deathrow, Hubog, Aishte Imasu 1941, Blue Moon and Mano Po. As an actor, Lamangan is best known for portraying the villain-turned-funny-antihero Roda in the Kapamilya Channel teleserye FPJ's Batang Quiapo.
