Julia Haydee Mora Maza (October, in San Salvador) is a Salvadoran beauty queen. In September 2008, The National Enquirer shocked the world with the publication of Julia Mora having a two year affair with Puerto Rican actor and tv icon Erik Estrada. Mora`s career as a ballerina dancer began when she was nine years old, performing in the National Theatre of San Salvador. At sixteen, she had an offer to host the musical show Oti in El Salvador, and because of her performance, the production director of television channel 4, Miguel Aguilar, hired her to work as a model, lead voice and model`s coordinator for the television station. Her biggest dream was always to become a medical doctor, so as she was attending "Colegio San Francisco", she was also enrolled in "Universidad Evangelica" to study medicine, but Mora also liked to travel, and soon after graduating from high school, she landed a job at T.A.C.A. international airlines, working as a flight attendant and she quit medical school. When the director of the "Miss El Salvador" asked her to participate in that beauty pageant, she accepted the offer. Mora won the crown and represented her country in the Miss Universe Pageant, celebrated in Miami, Florida. Out of the 79 contestants, Mora was selected by the media as one of the 10 favorites to win the crown, but she did not make it to the finals.
