Marilyn, I hope that you are doing well after all these years. I doubt that you remember me but when I was 10 yrs old, (1967) I used to live on Wingedfoot drive just before Jackie build and moved to the Country Club of Miami on the 18th green behind the club house. I had a dream last night about my days as a child living near you and Jackie. Jack Philbin also lived down the street and his son John and I used to come over to the 'Game Room' at the house to play pool and other games that were available. Jackie used to come in with his 'coffee' occasionally to say hello to us and show us some pool shots. I remember during Halloween, you gave out rolls of quarters rather than candy, i distinctly remember that tasseled golf cart he drove with the TV set in it and Rolls-Royce front end. And my family still has the red velvet Christmas Cards that were sent out every year with the gold inlay writing and little stickman with the words, "And away we go" printed underneath. We even had the privilege of playing golf with him once With Mr. Philbin and his John whom I went to school with. I am so thankful for those days as they helped shaped me into the man I am today. I loved Mr. Gleason and to this day still watch my collection of the Honeymooners on a regular basis. Such great comedy, writing, and humor that are long gone from todays world. Indeed, he was the 'Great One' and I miss him dearly.
