Marilyn Milian (born May 1, 1961), known professionally as Judge Milian, is an American television personality, lecturer, retired Florida Circuit Court judge and court-show arbitrator. For 22 seasons from March 12, 2001 to July 21, 2023, Milian starred in the American courtroom television series The People's Court, replacing Jerry Sheindlin. Justice for the People with Judge Milian, where Milian hears cases presented by actors improvising as litigants, premiered in the fall of 2023.

I love, love, love, judge Milian. Some (tv) judges have the tendency to make litigants feel like idiots. Judge Milian's approach is to educate a litigant (and the TV viewers) in terms of presenting evidence. She is fair and rarely condescending. But above all, what I think that every judge should pay attention to is the fact that she never shirks from her duty. Regardless of the evidence (or lack thereof), she will do her best to get to the bottom of the issue at hand. Perhaps we need more judges and less lawyers - at least when it comes to relatively straight forward issues.

I wrote a poem about Judge Milian and I've been trying to get it to her since last December (2011)
I sent it c/o the People's Court but they returned it.
I am 85 years old and I don't want to intrude on Judge Milian but I think she'll get a kick out of it.
Can you help me find a way to have it delivered to her.

Judge Milian is a fine example of an educated true professional. She conducts her courtroom with dignity and she also retains her femininity while dealing with some very difficult people who appear before her. She controls not only the situation at hand, but her entire courtroom. I love watching her.
